A study of more than 80,000 women revealed that women who drink moderately are less likely to develop a stroke. In this study, data collected over 26 years regarding women who did not have cardiovascular diseases or cancers at the start of the study were analyzed. As a result, women who reported low alcohol consumption or moderate alcohol consumption were shown to be at lower risk of stroke than those who reported no alcohol consumption.
