Doctor: Does the pain spread anywhere else?
広がる痛みですか。
Patient: Yes, it spreads to my neck.
はい。首のほうに広がっています。
Doctor: Is it a radiating pain?
広がる痛みですか。
Patient: Yes, it spreads to my shoulders.
はい。肩まで広がっています。
Doctor: Does the pain spread to any other areas?
広がる痛みですか。
Patient: No, it doesn’t.
いいえ。
Doctor: Does the pain radiate anywhere else?
広がる痛みですか。
Patient: I don’t think so.
そうではないと思うんですが。
【解説】 a radiating painは放散痛のことです。spread は過去形も過去分詞も spread なので注意しましょう。
